Bio for Virginia Norton

Virginia is a certified instructor with the Ling Gui International School of Healing Qigong, studying under Master Liu He and Dr. Liu Dong from the Liu family lineage, and she has been teaching Qigong and Tai Chi since 2016. Virginia has been training intensively in the Ling Gui School, learning and teaching the Liu family methods as well as several classical forms. These forms lead us into the most powerful technology we own, our own body-mind-spirit.

In addition, Virginia is a certified Qigong instructor through the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi, having completed 200 hours of training under Dr. Roger Jahnke in 2016, attending in person trainings in Jacksonville, FL; Hudson, NY; and Santa Barbara, CA. To broaden her knowledge of Qigong, she has also studied with Qigong masters Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson, Sifu Fa Jun Shakya, and Lee Holden. Virginia is a 2nd degree black belt through the Ching Yi Kung Fu Association, having studied Qigong, Tai Chi (Taiji Quan), Xing Yi Quan, Ba Gua Zhang, and Chinese Kung Fu from 2011 to 2018.

Before finding Qigong and Tai Chi, Virginia worked first at Salem Hospital and later Prosser Memorial Hospital in various capacities: physician continuing education, medical staff services, human resources, and administration.

Virginia is fascinated not only with Qigong’s capacity to heal the body, but also how it develops strength, energy, and a calm mind. Qigong and Tai Chi have made such a positive difference in Virginia’s life that she is eager to share this healing art with others.
